Red Dirt Black Gold Festival

A music festival honoring the oil and gas industry in south east New Mexico.

The Red Dirt Black Gold Festival is an opportunity to give back to the hardworking folks in southeast New Mexico, while tipping our hats to the industries that power our region. Thousands of attendees have enjoyed world class musical acts and community activities in Artesia.

This year we’re moving to Main Street, where we have exciting new things planned. Between 2nd Street and Roselawn you’ll find lots of fun: craft vendors, kids’ zone, and car show. We’re even bringing America’s new favorite pastime, pickleball. Want to sign up for the pickleball tournament? Click here.

Event entry begins at the 300 block of Main Street, where tickets are $10 for guests 21 and up. Folks 20 and under are free! The stage will be located at the intersection of 5th and Main, facing east. See event map

This entry fee will replace the traditional beer garden entry fee we’ve had in the past. Beer can be purchased and consumed anywhere within the gated event area.

This fee will allow the event to grow as the years go on, while also funding Artesia MainStreet initiatives like the Façade Improvement Grants, the Downtown Mural Program, beautification projects, and more. A portion of this year’s proceeds will also go to help the small business owners affected by the fires and flooding in Ruidoso.

Tickets will be available for purchase in person at Artesia MainStreet (510 W. Main Street, Artesia) starting September 10th. Tickets are available at entry - please bring a credit or debit card : we’re going cashless.

Hosted by Artesia Arts Council. This fun run and foam party can't be missed. Creative cowboy costumes encouraged.
